What is the Online Community Unconference?
The Online Community Unconference follows the Open Space Technology format, emphasizing participant-driven discussions and active collaboration. Here, you shape the agenda based on the challenges, ideas, and insights that matter most to you. Think of it as a full-day “coffee break” where the real conversations happen—on purpose.
Key Principles:
- Whoever comes are the right people. The most passionate participants will show up.
- Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened. Embrace spontaneity and the moment.
- Whenever it starts is the right time. Flexibility trumps rigid schedules.
- When it’s over, it’s over. Move on when discussions reach their natural conclusion.
The Law of Mobility further empowers you to take charge of your learning—if a session doesn’t engage you, you’re encouraged to find another that does.

On the Day of the Event
- Arrive Early: Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Use this time to grab breakfast, meet fellow attendees, and orient yourself.

- Check the Agenda Grid: Updated throughout the day, the agenda grid guides session locations and topics.
- Take Notes and Share: Document insights from sessions you attend or lead. Notes will contribute to the event’s “Book of Proceedings,” shared post-event.
